The Serigraph Studio' is a publishing firm established in the year 2003 and based in Bombay, India with its core focus area being the publishing of Contemporary Indian Art Prints mainly ‘Serigraphs' in Signed, Limited Editions by established senior artists and promising young talent. The idea of launching this publishing firm was conceived and conceptualised by art collector Lavesh Jagasia, the driving factor being a need to provide collectors with an option to acquire works of art in the form of Fine Art Prints regarded as Multiple Originals alongside the Singular Original works. Also in lieu of the feverish rise in prices and a lack of availability of good quality Singular Original works in the art market. Serigraphs, Lithographs, Linocuts, Woodcuts and various types of Intaglio Prints such as Etchings, Engraving, Drypoint, Aquatint and Mezzotint are globally accepted as Fine Art Prints and are recognised as Multiple Original Works of Art unlike Photo-Mechanically reproduced Prints which are treated as Art Posters. These types of prints are collected avidly in mature art markets. In fact, there exists such a vast and vibrant market for them that there are Organizations, Galleries and Dealers that promote, sell and deal only in these types of Fine Art Prints.
‘The Serigraph Studio' collaborates with the Artist to Publish, Release and Distribute a complete Edition of such Fine Art Prints which are Signed by the Artist and Printed by him or under his Supervision in a Limited Edition exclusively for ‘The Serigraph Studio', thereby making available and accessible to art collectors high quality, genuine works of art each accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity through its Online and Offline Resources.
