Lakshya Bhargava

Born in 2000, Ghaziabad, India.

Lakshya is currently pursuing his Masters in Fine Arts (Painting) from the Slade School of Fine Arts (2024-26) and completed his Bachelors in Visual Art (Painting) from the Bengaluru School of Visual Art, Bengaluru (2022).

He was the recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshield Grant, Montreal (2024); Eileen Gray Award (2024); National Awards by Tata Trust Student’s Biennale, Kochi (2022-23); Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation Kalanand Grant, Mumbai (2023) & the Petrichor Art Excellence Award (2020). He has also received the Immerse Fellowship (2024-23); HH Art Spaces Residency, Goa (2023); Next Step Residency, 1Shanthiroad, Bengaluru (2023).

Lakshya has participated in several group shows namely ‘Out Of Turn’, curated by Adwait, MAG Contemporary, New Delhi (2024); ‘A State of Care’, Immerse Fellows, curated by Shaleen Wadhwana & Haifa Maryam, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai (2024); ‘Voices From India’, curated by Saad Ghosn, Kennedy Heights Art Center Gallery, Cincinnati (2024); India Art Fair, 1Shanthiroad, New Delhi (2024); ‘Permanent Conference’, curated by Shristi Sainani, Gallery Nvya, New Delhi (2024); ‘Bodies, Space & Time’, Method Kala Ghoda, Mumbai (2023); ‘Learn Togetherness 3’, Kolkata Centre of Creativity, Kolkata (2023); Kochi Muziris Students Biennale, Kochi (2022-23) and ‘Tactile Traces of Tangent’, Venkatappa Art Gallery, Bengaluru (2022) amongst others.

Lakshya currently lives and works in London.
