Babu Eshwar Prasad, born in 1968, Karnataka. He completed his art education in Painting from College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat, Bangalore and Printmaking from Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda.
He practices as a Visual artist and film-maker and remains deeply interested in exploring other media like sculpture, video and photography.

Babu has also participated in and organized various workshops. He has conceptualized and coordinated a New Media workshop at Media Lab in Uttarayan Art Foundation, Baroda in 2011.
He has been honoured with awards and recognition, received Senior Fellowship from Ministry of Human Resources Development, 2014, Camlin Art Foundation, 2001, Karnataka Lalitkala Akademi, 2000, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore, 1995 and many more.
He lives and works between Bangalore and New Delhi.
