Santa Rakshit

Santa Rakshit has an MA Fine Arts (Painting) from MSU, Faculty of Fine Arts, Vadodara (2005) and a BFA (Painting) (2003). She had her first Solo show in Gallery Sumukha,Bangalore,2008. She has participated in group shows in Mumbai, Vadodara and Ahmedabad. She has also participated in workshops such as Printmaking Workshop, SPACE, The Artist Studio, Vadodara in 2008; Ahmedabad Art Festival, 2005-07; the IFA Project, 2006 & 07; The Himmat Workshop, involving working with women affected by communal riots in Ahmedabad, 2005-07. Santa is the recipient of the Kanoria Centre for the Arts Fellowship, Ahmedabad, 2005,06 and the Nasreen Mohammedi Award, Faculty of Fine Arts, Vadodara, 2003. She lives and works in Vadodara, India.
