Meera George

Born in Chennai in 1979 Educated at Kent instituted of Art & Design Canterbury,England and Collage of Art University of Delhi,India. Currently living and working both in India and Europe, Meera George xis among those young artists who are not limited by national boundaries. Over the past five years she has been on the move, exhibiting and collaborating internationally and her works focus on universal human experiences birth, death, the unfolding of consciousness,and have roots both in eastern and western aesthetics. Meera’s cross cultural play has been the result of her extensive travel, interactions and influences. Her work can be viewed as being theatrical and dramatic, bordering on the surreal. They are the result of deep introspection, and can be viewed as being poetic, open-ended, and strongly auto biographical.Currently lives and works in Brussels, Europe& Chennai, India.
