K.M. Adimoolam

Adimoolam received his Diploma in Advanced Painting and Design from the Govt. College of Arts and Crafts, Chennai. He participated in several important exhibitions at the NGMA, New Delhi, Kala Yatra, Bangalore (1986,1989), the 19th Sao Paulo Biennale Art Exhibition, Brazil (1987) and is an awardee of the Regional Lalit Kala Akademi’s Annual Award, Chennai (1963,1964,1965,1978). He was honoured with the National Award of Lalit Kala Akademi, Delhi,1979 among other awards. Adimoolam is a multi faceted artist and is known for his beautifully detailed figurative drawings as well as his vividly coloured abstract paintings. Adimoolam lives and works in Chennai, India.
