Hamid Bin Amar

was born in Hyderabad in 1971 He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Painting from the JNT University (Gold Medalist), Hyderabad, in 1996. He has also studied painting and printing making from the Central University of Hyderabad. His solo shows include Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Kala Bhavan, 2000; Central University of Hyderabad, 1996, among others. He has participated in group shows, some of which are Gallery Espace, 2006,2005,2004; Gallery Threshold, New Delhi, 2006,2005; Sakshi Gallery, Mumbai, 2000,1998; the Alliance Francaise, Kolkata, 2000 and at Nazar Art Gallery, Vadodara, 1998.Hamids works in an expressionistic style,laying the colors in impasto. He has participated in several group shows in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Baroda. The artist currently lives and works in Hyderabad
