Gigi Scaria

born 1973, Kothanalloor, Kerala, holds an M.F.A., 1998 (painting) from Jamia Millia University, New Delhi and a B.F.A. 1995 (painting) from College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram. He has participated in a number of Group and Solo shows in India and abroad, including Video Zone - 4, 4th International Video Art Biennial, Tel Aviv, Israel;MAM SCREEN - Mori Art Museum, Japan;India Moderna - Ivam Museum, Valencia,Spain; Chalo India - Mori Art Museum,Tokyo, Japanand VIDEOMIX.INDIA - Madrid, Spain. He has been a part of Residencies and workshops internationally and received many scholarships and prestigious awards. Slide presentations and talks include the 2008-Lecture and workshop - Sangmyung University, Seoul, Korea; 2007- National workshop on Gender and Space, School of Social Sciences, JNU, New Delhi & U H Galleries, University of Hatfield, England; 2005-Inter America Space, CCA7, Trinidad and Tobago, and 2002-Conservatory, Birmingham University, England. He lives and works in New Delhi, India.
