Akhilesh

Akhilesh was born in 1956 in Indore, India from where he received his National Diploma in Fine Arts. He has held many solo shows between 1976 and 1998 in Indore, Bhopal, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Benares. He received the Gwalior State Award for 1974 and the Bharat Bhavan Biennalle Award for 1990; Govt. of India Senior Artists Fellowship, New Delhi, 1994-95. Akhilesh has participated in the I,II,V and VI Bharat Bhavan Biennial of Contemporary Indian Art, Bhopal.
