Born in Junagarh Gujarat in 1942. He obtained a Diploma in painting and a post diploma in graphics from the reputed MS University, Baroda. He has worked in the capacity of visiting Faculty at NID, Ahmedabad from 1987 to 1990. He was felicitated with the First Prize by the Gujarat Lalit Kala Academy in 1966, 1967 and 1968 among other awards he has won over the course of his career.
Venkat Bothsa was born in 1961. He has a BFA from Andhra University, and an MFA from Benaras Hindu University.
He has participated in many workshops and group shows since 1995. Other art related projects include having designed and composed a tribal art and life museum called Museum of Habitat in the Araku Valley for integrated tribal development Authority, Visakpatnam, Andhra Pradesh, as well as tribal art and music museum known as Chenchu museum in Srisailam for integrated tribal development authority Srisailam, Andhra Pradesh. Bothsa has created a number of sculptures in Andhra Pradesh for public commissions. Bothsa has shown solo at Gallery Sumukha in Bangalore and Chennai, 2007.
He lives and works in Visakpatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
