B. S. Shivaraju alias Cop Shiva is artist that uses photography to document the fringes of society. He has been this year’s finalist of The Robert Gardner Fellowship in Photography of the Peabody Museum Harvard University. He is also the recipient of 2017 grant of Prohelvetia-Switzerland and Swedish Art Council. His work has been part of several Shows, nationally and internationally, including Chobi Mela in Bangladesh, India Art Fair in Delhi, and Kochi Biennale, as well and reputed galleries in India and Abroad. His recent solo exhibitions include ‘On Being Gandhi: The Art and Politics of Seeing’, The Frank Museum of Art, Columbus, Ohio, US in 2016 ‘Impersonations Impersonating Enacting Icons Gandhi/MG’, Apparao Gallery, Chennai in 2015 and ‘Ecstasy’, Art Heritage Gallery, New Delhi in 2014. “Face to Face”.
